The IMAI strives to provide a foundation and direction for present and future practitioners of Cooper Ryu Vee Jitsu by documenting this martial arts system and its history. Through this provision of resources, the IMAI will:

1.  Promote quality and consistency throughout its affiliated schools

2.  Create a support network for schools and instructors

3.  Increase the number of affiliated schools and students

4.  Preserve the legacy of Professor Cooper and his martial arts system for future generations

5. Build awareness of Cooper Ryu Vee Jitsu in the martial arts community
